All of our lampshades are lined with a heat-safe backing material. Nevertheless,we recommend Low energy bulbs for use with this lampshade, 60-watt bulb maximum.

*The Base type has the metal fitting ring on the bottom of the Lampshade, whereas the Pendant type has it on the top(see pictures!)
