French 19th Century Bouillotte Lamp

Style: Bouillotte / Neoclassicism (Louis XVI style). The design of the lamp is reminiscent of the Bouillotte lamps of the late 18th - early 19th century, which were used for board games or writing. A common element is the three-light bulb with a conical drum-shaped shade.
Estimated Date:Authentic pieces of this type were made between 1780–1920.
The body of the lamp is made of cast and finished bronze metal. Its golden tone and patina indicate age and quality of construction.
The lampshade has a slightly shiny texture and is lined with Duchess satin fabric with internal reinforcement of a high quality flame retardant PVC in gold matte.
